WHO IS JESUS? This question has perplexed mankind for quite some time, but for me the answer is fairly simple: Jesus is God, who cares for you more than anyone else and is with you no matter the circumstances.

I admit, I come from a Christian perspective when I look at WHO IS JESUS, and for folks who are not in a relationship with Him, they can be fooled. It is as simple as GOD IS LOVE. This week, Pastor Chuck looked at several characteristics of of why God is Love. He is: 1. PRESENT; 2. PREPARED; 3. PREVALENT; 4. PENETRATING; 5. PURE; 6. POWERFUL; 7. PROTECTIVE; 8. PRECISE; 9. PHENOMENAL and 10. PERFECT. For each of us, this list may hit or miss the way in which we see Jesus. I am NOT saying that Pastor was limiting God or our thinking; we do that to ourselves so take a minute and apply the headstart that Chuck has provided and define WHO IS JESUS to you? Please see share if you are so led (it doesn’t have to start with P 🙂 ) “When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, ‘Fear not, I am the first and the last.’” The beginning, the end, the Alpha, the Omega!

Stacy was the one in the car after church yesterday morning that for her, PRAYERFUL was the word that came to her heart. The prayer that comes to mind is when Jesus is on the cross and says, “Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit.” (Luke 23:46) Take a few minutes to pray over the idea of WHO IS JESUS. Let the Spirit flow and remember to (because I am guilty of this) listen and not just speak. Prayer is a conversation, which by definition means two-way. Listen to what God has to say about who He is and what He would have to do to influence and grow His kingdom.   Take some time right now; stop what you are doing and pray. Pray for what comes to your heart. Pray for brother Leon, brother Matthew. Pray for revival/revolution. Pray for our leaders, our country, our neighbors, our families. Pray for guidance in your own life. Pray for…well whatever your need or want too; God is listening. Just remember to do the same.   This week’s discussion will be on Chapter 7 of John Eldredge’s book Wild at Heart. As always, please hear me, if you have not joined us before, please consider doing so, NOT worrying about that we are in Chapter 7. This group of men meets most importantly for the fellowship. I/we would love to see you there. I pray you have a great week.   I love y’all.   Trevor
