Dear Church, Your financial help is needed to refinance the renovation expense of the old sanctuary and other deferred maintenance issues within the Church building complex.  The renovation project will address the following:

  • Reclaim the lower level space for general ministry use
  • Refurbish the first floor of the old sanctuary, currently referred to as the “Youth Zone” allowing the space to become the “Hub” for the Church
  • Construct a metal building adjacent to the back wall of the old sanctuary for youth ministry
  • Stabilize the outer wall of Family Life Center

Please pray for the renovation project and the THRIVE Campaign to finance that project so that Dutch Fork Church can reach our congregation and community for Christ.  It is our prayer and goal for the Church to be debt free.

Forty Day Prayer Guide Below:
October 22nd – November 30th, 2018
Church Family, We will be embarking on a purposeful journey of 40 days in prayer. These 40 days are designed to encourage the body of Christ at DFBC to earnestly seek God with our whole heart, soul, mind and strength for the sole purpose of knowing and experiencing Him in a deeper way. Please take this seriously and plan to spend at least 30 minutes a day engaging with your God.

For they gave according

to their means,

and beyond

their means,

of their own accord,

but they gave themselves first

to the Lord…

Janice and I are so thankful to be a part of what God is doing with the Dutch Fork family. Since our arrival 16 months ago, over 50 people have been baptized, many of those having had their first encounter with Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Hundreds of you have shared your story of how you encountered Christ, and countless lives will be changed as a result. We could not be more humbled or privileged to be a part of such a growing, vibrant and loving family of believers. This is why we are so excited to introduce our THRIVE campaign. As we grow, so does our need for space that is usable, inviting and accommodating. Through the leadership of your Nehemiah Team we have determined that we can reclaim space that had been previously unused (redeem); renovate space to expand ministry needs (restore); and add new space for our youth ministry that gives them the flexibility to expand and meet the needs of a growing and flourishing generation of potential church leaders and kingdom builders (transform). THRIVE is big and audacious, just like the God we serve. It is so ambitious that we need everyone’s involvement – your involvement – to make it a reality. And God wants you to participate because He wants to bless you in ways you never dreamed He would. He wants you to THRIVE. Your participation will help point people to the love of Jesus and lead them into a growing relationship with the God who created them. THRIVE will also help equip Christians to be all that He intended for them to be in this wonderful, exciting and fulfilling life He has given us. As you turn the pages of this book, you will get a glimpse of Dutch Fork at its earliest beginning and see just a small part of the phases God has taken us through during our 60-year history. You will also see what the next phase will look like during this transformation process, and I hope you will fully embrace your part in the Dutch Fork Family. We are embarking on a journey, and I want you to seriously pray about the step of faith and the level of sacrifice God would have you make for THRIVE. As we consecrate ourselves and our resources to our Lord, we all have a part in this wonderful journey into thriving. This is only the beginning, folks! In John 10:10 Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly”. Jesus is saying, “I came so you could THRIVE. Don’t let the enemy steal that from you by causing you to settle for just surviving”. I believe the Dutch Fork family is ready to heed the words of Jesus and THRIVE.
You are awesome! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this journey with you.
